Boyne City is located in Michigan and has a pretty small population. It is a great place to go for a fun weekend trip. There are plenty of different activities that you can take part in. One of the most popular things that people like to do on these trips would be to enjoy the different, local restaurants. Even though it is a smaller area, they still have plenty of amazing places to eat and go out on the town.

Breakfast and Lunch

• Sunnyside. Sunnyside has a regular breakfast menu that ends at 11 am that has a breakfast sandwich, pancakes, waffles, French Toast, omelets, and a quiche. However, they also have a breakfast menu that you can enjoy all day long that has a traditional breakfast, eggs benedict, breakfast skillet, stuffed hash browns, and a unique market breakfast. They serve both, breakfast and lunch.
• Betty’s Restaurant. This local breakfast joint is super tasty and affordable. They offer amazing pancakes that come in a lot of different flavors. The service is fast and friendly. However, make sure you bring cash because they do not take cards.
• Cafe Sante.If you are looking for a breakfast spot that is a bit higher class, then this is the place to go. They serve things such as smoked beef hash, Irish oats, eggs benedict, quiche lorraine, and Vienna pancakes. It would be a great place to have a nice and relaxing meal before going on with your day.
• Johans – Walloon. This isn’t a restaurant that you will sit down and eat at. It is the best place to stop and grab a quick muffin or pastry before you check out the town. They offer a variety of sweet and savory treats, as well as delicious coffee. The staff is quick and friendly for a great start to your day.
• Everett’s. There are plenty of tasty salads, appetizers, and sandwiches that you can enjoy for a quick lunch. All of the sandwiches will come with kettle chips but they can be substituted with sweet potato fries, onion rings, and regular fries for four dollars. They do offer breakfast, dinner, and happy hour as well.
• Red Mesa Grill. If you are just looking for a quick bite to eat, then this is the place for you. They offer tacos, soups, salads, twisters, burritos, fajitas, and a kids’ menu. They offer vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free options if you ask. The margaritas are phenomenal and make the perfect midday pick-me-up.
• BC Pizza. This restaurant has traditional appetizers, pasta, and of course, pizza. They even offer a lunchtime buffet. There are 13 different specialty pizzas that you can choose from or you can build your own from scratch. Everything that they use in their food is extremely fresh and all of it is homemade.

Dinner and Nightlife

• Pour Kitchen and Bar. This restaurant is the best place to go if you have you have a group of friends that love wine. They serve sushi and different plates that are meant to be shared. On the menu, they have the wine listed that pairs best with whatever you decide to order. It is also one of the best places to hang out if you want to enjoy the nightlife.
• Barrel Back Restaurant. You can enjoy breakfast, lunch, or dinner here. However, they are known for their wide variety of dinner options. They carry a range of pizzas, sandwiches, and a lot of different appetizers. Along with a variety of vegetarian and vegan options. Their hours are from 8 am to 9:30 or 10:30 pm, depending on what day of the week it is.
• Lake Street Pub. This pub has plenty of appetizers, salads, and soups to choose from. A lot of people really enjoy their sandwiches and juicy burgers. One thing that this restaurant has that is unique would be the build-your-own macaroni and cheese bowl. You can add pork, shrimp, broccoli, bacon, chicken, buffalo sauce, or avocado to create the tastiest bowl of mac-n-cheese that you have ever had.
• The Strand at Sommerset Pointe. The Strand offers some of the finest dining in the area. You will be able to enjoy your dinner while taking in the stunning views the Lake Charlevoix has to offer. They offer six different entrees; 16-ounce Bone-in Grilled Ribeye, Lake Perch, Stranded Wagyu Burger, BBQ Ribs, Porcini Crusted Whitefish, and Rootbeer Glazed Pork Belly.

  You can finish off your meal with a delicious dessert. They serve Flourless Chocolate Cake with sea salt caramel and vanilla bean ice cream, Summer Berry Panna Cotta, White Chocolate and Chocolate Hazelnut Gelatos. They also serve great adult beverages and stay open until 10 pm so it is a great place to start out your night.

• BC Lanes. Bowling isn’t the same as heading to the local bars and clubs. However, it is a lot of fun and is great if you have a large group of people. This bowling alley is very clean and modern. It also offers food, a full bar, and pool tables.
• Boyne City Tap Room. This bar was established in June of 2016 and is great for all beer connoisseurs. Whether you are just getting started in the beer world or you have been tasting them for years, you will enjoy this bar. They offer 40 taps of American craft beer, numerous craft cocktail, and a range of quality wines.
• Stiggs Brewing and Kitchen. Stiggs claims to be the brewery of Boyne City. They locally source their hops and grains, which are used to create their beers. It is a niche bar that you won’t find anywhere else in the country.

Whether you are just visiting for a day or week, there will be plenty of restaurants and bars for you to check out. They have an amazing dinner and nightlife scene. Along with the breakfast and brunch restaurants where you can cure your hangover.
